Ever had one of those mornings? I had a busy day planned for yesterday so got up and away from the house early to run several errands. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned. As so often happens, right? We had a frog strangler right before dawn. On my way to town I had to turn around twice because of flooded roads. The water had receded quite a bit. I never dreamed the roads would be under water.
Got out of my car and snapped a few photos with my phone. These were taken at the road leading to the park not the flooded roads I was trying to take. But these look pretty awesome so thought I’d post them.

Everything is fine here. Thank you, Jill. When you live next to a large creek, you can expect rising water pretty often. I hope you don’t have any bad storms. 🙂

Why on earth did your roads get flooded suddenly?? I mean, i get the point of there being a creek, but did it rain heavily or something? 🙂

It definitely did rain hard and in a very short period of time. I don’t know if you have flash flooding over there, but it’s very common in a lot of areas here in the US. Which means if it rains hard and you’re near a body of water like a creek, the water will rise suddenly and with little warning. But this time there were no problems other than a little inconvenience so all is good. Thanks for coming over. 🙂

We have flash floods here in India, but, thankfully not in the metropolitan cities like Calcutta…So, I haven’t witnessed one.. 🙂

So sorry about the flash floods, we have had quite a lot of them around here! I was so worried about all the twisters and horrible devastation out west and Midwest of here! Take care and hope you are safe and sound, Always, Elizabeth! Smiles, Robin

Hi, Robin. We’ve had some beautiful weather the past couple of days. Been very cool, but now it’s heating up again. We have a lot of tornadoes here, especially in springtime, but fortunately nothing this year so far. Have a lovely day. Big hugs.

It’s like this every spring, Janell. Flood during spring and then it dries out and becomes blistering hot for the summer. Sorry you aren’t getting enough rain, but I guess living in beautiful Southern CA is worth it. 🙂
