Whooping Cough Vaccine Scare Tactics

Okay, I’ll admit I’m still on the fence about most vaccines. Maybe because deep down, I’d like to believe in the dream of vaccinations ridding the world of deadly disease. My children received all their vaccinations on schedule. One had irreparable harm done to him by one of the vaccinations. My other son seemed to have no immediate reaction to any of his. Whether there will be ill effects later in his life…we may never know. I myself had been getting the flue shot every year because, as a diabetic, my doctor recommended it.

I stopped getting them because I caught the flu virus regardless of the vaccine and suffered just as severely as those who’d not been vaccinated. A truth: All vaccines do not protect all people from illness. As for all the other vaccinations, Americans need to make informed decisions. And by informed I mean get the facts, don’t believe the hype from certain medical professionals or the media. Once informed of all the facts, then you can make an informed decision on what is best for both you and your children.

Every year a new scare tactic emerges for a different vaccine or vaccines. Right now it seems to be whooping cough. Here’s an interesting article on it: http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2010/08/24/the-real-scoop-on-california-whooping-cough–using-fear-and-prejudice-to-attack-vaccine-exemption.aspx
