I took this photo on my son’s first day back to school this year. The sun is just beginning to rise over the school.

I'm a novelist, poet, and artist. I love books, nature, art, and gardening. I'm a rock hound and there's a photo of me with a cool fossil rock on my about page, I take a lot of nature pictures. The background here is one of mine. Unfortunately I recently lost my wonderful husband, but I'm grateful to have the blessing of two beautiful sons. elizabethmeltonparsons.wordpress.com is © Elizabeth Melton Parsons 2007-2018. 1. I’ll confess, I was in the middle of a game of chess (online), and thought that while waiting for my opponent to make his move, I would visit this, your “other” blog.

Unfortunately, this blog is so captivating that I forgot to go back to go back to my game, and I forfeited on time.

Not, however, a bad trade off.

    Lovely work, Liza.

  2. WOW! What a lovely compliment. “Captivating” oh, yeah, I like that. Thanks so much, Rick. I hope your chess companion didn’t get angry with you for forgetting the game. 🙂 Elizabeth (Liza)
